Wanting to start wholesale in Harrisburg PA

Hello BP! My name is Brajan (pronounced Brian), and I have been actively doing research for the past year and a half now on real estate investment. To start, wholesale is my goal just to get the ins and outs of the game, or put a foot in the door, as they say!! I work a commission only sales job and wholesale is the least risk I could start with, aside from the legal matters if i butcher something. So with this brief into being said.... 1) I have searched far and wide, calling the numbers on bandit signs and opening every craigslist post to do something as simple as shadowing someone in the wholesale business, and have offered myself to help wholesalers and do the work for someone so i can get a head start. Every single person has laughed at me... Just want to make sure, is that a rude thing to do? Trust me, i hear alot of no's in my daily job, so im not giving up, but maybe its just like a social no no in the REI world? 2) How did everyone else get started? 3) Who here is from Harrisburg and would be willing to meet up? Wholesaler, flipper, whoever you are, Id love to meet new people and make some friends! Would love some feedback, as this is my first post on BP. Thanks all!
