Mentor? Buying Education

What's the happ's investors? I've asked about this topic before and it still get's me man, my question is should I pay to get mentored or take my chances and learn from life itself?

Now I've been at this for more than a year and yes I will admit I came into this with a completely messed up mindset, but here I am one year later relearning the basics and I feel like I've tried it my way and my way aint the right way guys.

For those of you who have paid to be mentored? What are your takes? was it worth the money? Also for the people who didn't use a mentor if you could go back would change that? Do you think it would have been faster?

Mahalo before hand guys

@Vick Galu  Remember this though.  Not all mentors are what you are looking for.  Do your due diligence before you make any decisions on working with any of them...the same way you would if you were choosing which college/university you were going to for any other major.
