"Apprentice Needed - Start Making $10,000 a Week!" Signs in ATL

Hey guys! I have been starting to do research over the past year on how to get started in real estate investing. I am almost ready to start making some moves, but I would really love to talk to somebody who is investing. I have a question for some of your professionals out there. I have been seeing these signs ALL over Atlanta, GA and they all say something along the lines of "Real Estate Investor Seeks Apprentice" "Get Paid While You Learn!" "Start Making $10,000 A Week" I would like to be able to meet somebody that would let me take a peek into their world, and let me crunch some numbers for them and even review deals. Something about these signs...maybe the insane promises of starting out making $10,000 a week, or just the sheer volume of signs out there makes me feel like this is a scam. Do you guys have any idea what's up with all of these people seeking an "apprentice". I am worried if I give one of them a call the first question would be "can we take a $80,000 loan out in your name"?
