Overwhelmed and just starting out!

Hello everyone!  I have just started to learn and research about becoming a real estate investor.  I am overwhelmed with all the discussions and just don't know where to begin.  I live in Bismarck, ND and am looking and buying and holding.  I just don't know where to begin.  Any advice that could lead me in the right direction or at least help me narrow down where to begin?  Thanks everyone!

@Andrew Jordan... the right place to begin varies greatly based on who you are and what you want to achieve. Start by outlining your vision. Clearly define what you want out of life, and look at each investing opportunity through the lens of how it could help you achieve that life vision. And keep reading, listening to podcasts, etc. The more you know, the easier it is to figure it out where you need to start. Good luck!
