Getting a proof of funds

Hi BP community,

I'm having some trouble putting some offers in as just about all the listings in my area need proof of funds before considering the offer. I had an analyzed property and offer written but in middle of finding a HML to provide me with a pre approval the listing accepted another offer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated or am I just going to have to skip over proof of funds listings.
