I disagree with my real estate broker

Hi BP! I just want share an experience i had with my Real Estate broker today. I was told that to look for an investor that would mentor me during my initial plunge into the market is an unrealistic expectation. According to her, investment strategies, and working models are a close kept secret that any experienced investor would not share. Her reason is simple and understandable. "Why teach the competition the best way to compete with me". I explained to her that if she could connect me with one of her local experienced investors, my offer is give them 100% of the profit made off my first flip. In return, I only ask that they ride in the passenger seat and help me not to make any wrong turns. She gave me honest answer and said that in her circle those people do not exist. Now, I really respect her opinion and look to her for advice. But, if this is her circle, then i really do not want to join it anyway.

I'm looking for thoughts and any advice that fellow BP members may have.

Thanks for reading and good luck with your endeavors.

@Clayton Crawford  I also disagree with your broker.  However, that's not to say that some investors would choose to not share their experiences and ways to invest in order to reduce competition.  I just wrote a post within the last hour where I asked the forum if it would be beneficial to new investors if I opened up my projects so they could learn.  When I say open up....I mean the financials and physical properties as well.  Your thoughts?
