Starting out in Kansas City!

@Clint Looper welcome to BP and congrats on your new endeavor. A very wise decision to start
investing straight out of law school. Feel free to PM me if you want some recommendations regarding agents, PMs, etc...
As far as mentoring/partnering goes:
Partnering is basically like getting married. Make sure you truly know the person, they are strong where you are weak, and you both have the same goals and attitudes. Don't rush into a partnership. Let it develop over time.
Mentoring wise - there are a ton of great people out there who would love to help. However, be a value add to their lives. Their knowledge and experience cost them tens of thousands of hours of their life and dollars. (How much is your time worth per hour?) Approach it that way. They should benefit more from your relationship, at first, than you should.
Best of luck to you! Glad you are here in KC, an awesome city with great growth potential. Feel free to PM if you have any questions.
