Help! College student needing guidance and direction

I am a college student trying to get into the real estate industry. I particularly want to buy houses around college campuses and give them out for rent. I was wondering this decision was smart for an investment in the long run. I was wondering if there are any other investing ideas that a college student should or should not go about.

Welcome!

I'm new to the industry as well. I have found so much help here in the forums and the literature offered. The Free Investor Toolkit sent to you when you sign up offers a lot of know how. Start there and feel free to reach out to others here. People are VERY willing to help!
