Buy & Hold in Milwaukee

Hi BP Members,

My name is Garnett and I’m a newbie buy and hold investor looking to get started. I initial wanted to house hack and buy a multifamily here in Chicago in the Wicker Park/Logan/Bucktown areas, but after working with a few BP members I quickly learned how expensive that could be. After doing some reading on the forums it seems that Milwaukee is a great area for a buy and hold investor to work in and it seems the properties generate good cash flow.

I have some time in the next couple weeks and wanted to make the trip up to Milwaukee so I could drive through a few neighborhoods. I’m currently looking for multifamily properties that would need minimal work, require a down payment of $5K-$10K and would attract high quality tenants. I was hoping a few BP members could point me in the right direction and recommend a few neighborhoods to check out on my trip.

Thanks!
Garnett
