Steps to convert house from private ownership to LLC

What are the steps in moving a multi-family property from under my name to my LLC?

I just started out and am looking for some basic steps on how to do this. For example, should I just work with a real estate attorney or is it something that I can do?

Thanks - if it's easier, can you please point me to any posts out there or sites that go over this in detail? I haven't seen anything but I'd imagine the Pros know a whole lot on this.

Thanks!

Jason

@Jason Abbott if it has a mortgage on it you had best OK it first with your mortgage holder or they could invoke the due on sale clause calling your entire mortgage due in full now. The title transfer is easy, but getting your LLC right is a little more complicated. See your tax advisor first, there may be tax consequences. Good luck
