LLC advice for beginner tax lien purchasing

Hello,

I am interested in starting my adventure in purchasing properties. Know someone that has purchased tax liens. They weren't interested in talking to me about the process. Maybe they feel discouraged at possible competition. 

I would like to start an LLC that way I don't have my personal name attached to it. Would anyone please give me some information as to what route I should take on starting an LLC. Thanks in advance.
