Investments For Maintaining 50+ Year Old Home in Florida

Posted

Two years ago I purchased a duplex that was recently flipped, but the house is over 50 years old. Recently, I discovered that I'll likely have to repair the foundation of my house to prevent any new cracks from forming through the cinderblock walls, however, I'm not sure other large expenses I should look out for. My house is in decent shape, but I don't know what the lifespan of a typical aluminum roof, AC, and other common features for a house in Florida would be. Could someone either give me an estimate of average lifecycle for common components of a house within Florida, or recommend any local contractors that could give me an affordable inspection report?
