Best banks for HELOC on personal home

Alexander Celestina
Posted

Hi BP fam,

I am a new real estate investor looking to buy my first property and I wanted to use equity on my loan for investing. What are some banks you guys recommend to do a HELOC on a personal home?

Thank you,

I have a friend who recently used "Figure" and he had a great experience. The entire process was smooth and very fast.

(I can't endorse this company myself. I have no experience with them. But worth looking into)

Figure backs some of the HELOCs we do. They are 100% automated. It's quick and easy if the deal's vanilla, but if there is a hiccup at all, there is no human to override it. We just had one declined because, although the customer qualified, their system didn't recognize the physical address.
