Starting out - Join me in my journey

Posted

I recently decided to diversify my portfolio and explore real estate. My first buy was 'Financial Freedom' by Michael Blank, which introduced me to the concept of multifamily real estate and raising funds. Who knew? It sounds enticing, but I'm still a bit skeptical and I find it a bit daunting. I've been researching the author and his programs (competitors too), but there's also a wealth of information available online. Before making any major investments into expensive coursework, I want to learn more.

Fortunately, I came across BiggerPockets. Their top recommendations, of course, are to read, listen, and engage with the community. I'm excited to share my journey here with all of you. Please share your solid book recommendations or favorite podcasts.

I also have an anecdote and a question. As a long-time martial artist, specifically in BJJ, when I received an upper rank, I was asked to share the skill I wish I had learned on day one. I knew the answer immediately. Now, I'd like to hear from you: What skill have you learned that you wish you had acquired earlier?

Cheers all - Chris
