Creating an LLC - Expected Cost?

Hi - I'm a new real estate investor, based in Denver, CO. I'm interested in creating an LLC to hold my investments. I talked to a lawyer today, who quoted me $1500 for legal services and $50 for the filing fee (believe this component is unavoidable). This seemed pretty expensive to me to do a pretty straightforward legal task. I want to be secure and confident that it's structured properly, but I don't want to dramatically overpay for it. How much should this really cost? Does anyone have any good resources they trust to do this kind of thing - whether it's a lawyer, or an online service (like LegalZoom, for instance)? Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
