Asking the right questions with agents/brokers

Cody Hughes
Posted

As I have started out my REI endeavors (multifamily syndication) I have had several phone calls with real estate agents/brokers in the hopes to develop a relationship. Usually I call about a property, ask a few closed ended questions and the conversation ends there. My goal is to transition the conversation to asking questions about the agent/broker/brokerage and how they operate, but I am not too sure what to even ask outside of very basic questions.
Are there any questions you like to ask possible agents/brokers? Or if you are an agent/broker are there any questions that you've heard that stood out to you?

Thanks

How long have you been working in real estate?

How many sales do you average per year and how many this year?

What is your experience working with investors? What percentage of your buyers are investors?

What communities do you recommend?

How do you communicate? When can I expect a response to email, text, or phone calls? How do you prefer to communicate?

What can I do to make your job easier?
