Real Estate Investment Associations

Sarah Pelton
Posted

Hello, I currently reside in Massachusetts but my three STRs are located in NH. I want to join a REI association to build my network. Does it make sense to join one closer to home, or closer to where my investments are located? Or, should I be considering joining more than one (local and/or national). Thank you!

I’d suggest visiting before joining.  I have mixed reviews for the events I’ve been to, over time you find there are many who love to talk and watch and sit on the sidelines and wait when it comes to real estate…or, on the flip side, someone is often selling something even if really subtle about it.  I prefer meetups where the culture is collaborative, and knowledge & connections are freely shared.  Hopefully you can pick apart which meetup has those virtues.
