Small bow in basement walls- should I still buy?
I am in the process of investing in my first real estate deal and I found a house that would cash flow very well as a college rental. I already talked to a couple property managers and they are confident in the house and location as well. The problem is that the condition report on the property notes "slight bow in block foundation." I didn't notice any bow while i was touring the property, but wasn't looking for it because I hadn't read the condition report prior to the showing (probably a mistake). This wasn't surprising to me since the house was built in 1930. I am sure that it has been that way for a long time. Has anyone bought a house like this? Or has anyone spent the money to fix a bowed foundation? What would you do in my situation? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
