Is there such things as "real estate advisors?"

I'm new to this and just trying to get in the game. I've worked paycheck to paycheck for my whole life and put 10 good years of sweat equity into my first home that is also my primary residence. It has appreciated by more than I would have ever dreamed of here in Colorado. I have access to a decent amount of equity in my current home and I'm looking to turn some of that into more homes. I'm looking for a professional I can pay to advise me for a few hours about what my best course of action is so my first step into this game a good one. I don't really know anybody doing this so I don't mind paying someone for their time and knowledge. I'm excited about single and multi family homes, and short term vacation rentals. My goal is to create enough passive/semi passive income to peal me away from my full-time job eventually and create a better life for myself. I'm a handyman by trade and know enough about how investing works. Just looking for someone who can advise me on how to put it all together so I feel more confident as I begin my journey.

Hope something like this exists! Thanks!

@Kelly Olson Hi Kelly. I am doing what you are looking for. I call it mentoring. I developed my own Out-of-State Turnkey residential real estate portfolio to generate enough cash flow to not have to work anymore (at least not in a regular job).

I believe it is natural to tell my friends and family what I am doing and more and more of them encouraged me to share the things I learned with the public. That's why I post here on BP and I offer to mentor people who look for advice.

I am not selling any properties or act as a real estate agent/broker. My main goal is to help people, just as you described, and avoid mistakes - some of which I made myself in the past.

I also don't charge for an initial conversation just to get to know each other, learn about goals and options to proceed. If you like, just DM me and we set up a call.
