What's more important money or business

To me in real estate is about doing great business and great partnership with others. I get tired of people talking about how how much money I can make if I do my business this way or that way. In my eyes the money will come but I always get a 50/50 split when it comes to business on deals. Why do some people think they should have more of the money when both parties are doing the same amount of work?
