BP, I'll be switching careers in about 20 months.  If you work in any the following areas please reply and maybe we can chat!

Background information, we're transitioning out of the military and moving back to the Minneapolis area.  If you could post about pros and cons, life style, ability to work extra, commission, hours... Jobs interested in: Tradesmen job, ie plumber, carpenter, gc... sales, property management for larger firm or mid level managers.

Thanks!

@Adam Widder If you want to be an investor and do not want to wait 2 or more years to start from the day you get back then you should also be concerned with your type of employment.  Many if not all of the jobs you have listed work with variable pay, and often will lay you off when there is no business.  From a lenders point of view, you should look for stable pay.  This means consistent hourly pay or salary.  You will not be able to use bonuses, or commissions for the first 2 years, same if you are paid on a 1099 basis.  These issues only matter if you want to invest, but since you are on BP I think its safe to assume that this will matter to you.
