Using quality management software a good idea?

Hi,

My friend suggested me to use a quality management software for my company. But, right now we are going through some financial crisis. So, I would like to know whether using a quality management software would be a good idea. Has anyone used it? If quality management software would be beneficial, we would try using it. Can you share the pros and cons of using it?

Thanks in advance
