goals and business plans for 2017/2018

I just began the process of acquiring my real estate license and me I'm looking at different avenues to take within real estate. One option I'm interested in and have been researching is wholesaling. Mostly because I don't have much money and with my license I could legally list/sell the property by contracting it with no money down. Is this a sound plan? I am wondering what the best niche to begin in is. I want to work my way up to buying and holding multiple properties by the end of this year. How can I achieve this goal? Is it doable?
