'Evening.  We are looking to do our first 1031 here in Columbus.  At last nights landlord meeting Dave ( leads the group) said something that finally struck home with me.  "If you have a property that you're even thinking about selling, now may be the time."  Yes, that could have been said many times in the past, but this time I'm agreeing.

We have a campus duplex and would like to start the process of a 1031.  We have an agent for the sale, we need someone to handle the 1031 side.  Any one here have any experiences good or bad?

Thanks!

Hi @Sean Dawson

The majority of the nationwide Qualified Intermediaries can administer 1031 Exchange transactions in all 50 states. It really boils down to working with a Qualified Intermediary that has the experience and expertise to take care of your transaction, is willing to review the transaction documents for any potential 1031 Exchange problems, and is willing to be advisory and consultative in nature to ensure that you get the proper advice and answers to your questions.
