Max was my buying agent for my purchase of a primary residence condo in Jersey City, NJ. Max was both a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional from start to finish. It's clear he has a great feel for the local area and was able to guide me in selecting an appropriate neighborhood, and finally a property that was a fit for my needs. Once I was ready to make an offer, he was able to negotiate a price nearly 15K below asking. While we were in contract, Max was great at knowing when to step in and take action vs allowing the process to run its course. For example, we had a situation where we had asked the seller to repair a broken door lock. The seller's attorney responded with a cheap solution, which immediately had me concerned. At that point, Max stepped in with a simple "I'll handle it" which he then did, ensuring that the door was properly repaired. Before meeting Max I had absolutely no experience with anything related to real estate. I wonder if I've been spoiled due to this as Max is the first and only realtor I've worked with and has made the process of closing on my first property so easy and smooth that it seems almost unnatural. Is it supposed to be this convenient? Max's number one focus is to close on the right property for you personally, and making sure you are completely comfortable with what you are closing on. He is always available to offer any advice or answer questions and is very good about responding to emails, texts, and calls (on top of his general duties as a realtor). I visited many properties with him that he gave objective and unbiased advice for, and ended up walking away from many properties because of that. However, due to this I ended up closing on a property that I am very happy with. I am sure many realtors out there will try to push you to close cause it will get them a quick buck but as I said, Max's number one focus is to make sure his client is satisfied and has no doubts. Even after closing, I know I have Max in my corner for any questions I have about real estate in general moving forward and I am very grateful for that.
