I applied for a rental property through Keyrenter and I regret to admit that my engagement with this group was stressful and unsettling. Shortly after submitting extensive amounts of personal information that were required as part of the application, I received a strange email from their screening department, which stated the following:
"We tried calling you to review the details but were unable to reach you. It is important that we review your information before we continue. This is REQUIRED and can hold up the process if not completed within 24hrs of receipt of your application."
Strangely I didn't have a missed call from this group and they didn't direct me to a phone number that I should use for the return call they were requesting. So I emailed back just minutes after receiving the message to ask for a phone number and expressed my interest in providing the required details ASAP.
Unfortunately, I never received a return email and after no less that 25 attempts to reach this group via the phone number I could find online, I was unable to reach them via telephone. Eventually someone did answer the phone line and they indicated that the application was progressing as normal and affirmed that there were no other applicants competing for the property. They gave every indication that if my application (which was later approved) met the requirements then they'd rent the townhome to me.
Some more time passed and after not hearing anything, we reached back out to understand when I'd receive an update. The team reaffirmed around 4pm EST that there were no other applicants and I should hear back shortly. Then an hour late I received a voicemail stating that they decided to rent the unit to an applicant that was ahead of me in line. That call arrived at 5pm and they were unavailable to take my follow-up phone call.
This was a deeply unsettling way to approach a process that should be SOP for a property management company. I have to wonder if the front end process is so clunky and unprofessional, what's the experience like of living in one of their managed properties? My experience with this groups suggests that would be horribly stressful.

Homeowners, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! James is one of the rudest and arrogant people I’ve ever spoke to. I quote “losing your business does not hurt me!” Great attitude and face for your company. Please do better Keyrental. Now Ryan who showed me the property was a delight and can’t recommend him enough. It’s sad that homeowners trust people to be the face for their property and this is how they act.

Ryan, is an awesome Property Manager he's been great since day 1. The process went very smoothly in our transition back into the DMV area from Boise, Idaho. Me and my wife are both homeowners and it's a luxury to have a property manager that is so responsive and engaged in any issues concerning the property from both on the owners behalf as well as a tenant. Kuddos Ryan and we would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for a property manager in this area.

I've had the pleasure of interacting with Ryan professionally and he'd be my go-to person for managing my rentals. He's responsible and responsive, attentive to detail, conscientious and meticulous, and he's got mechanical aptitude, too! In short, if you're looking for property management, make Ryan your first call.
