As a homeowner using Dean & Dewitt for my property management, they've taken care over everything so far and I have not needed to lift a finger to manage my home which has been a great relief. I've been working with Olga as my property manager and she's been very attentive and communicative which I greatly appreciate.

It’s been a great experience working with Dean & DeWitt and with Olga Shahan as my property manager. Right from the beginning of my new contract, it was clear that she genuinely cares about her clients and takes immense pride in her work. She was always available to answer my questions, no matter how big or small, and her communication was consistently clear, timely, and professional.

Dean and Dewitt’s biggest asset is their team. I’m very happy to be working with Olga during this year. I couldn’t have a more attentive, responsive, and thoughtful person to work with for my rental. She works very hard to ensure the best outcome for all sides and clearly communicates what can be expected, next steps, and options. I give this assessment as someone that has had her supporting a move-in, hurricane prep and damage, and maintenance concerns that have arose. It’s been a pleasure to have her an my point of contact and look very happy to be continuing with her.

I moved in to one of Dean & Dewitt’s rental property recently, and it has been an incredibly smooth process. They respond to any maintenance needs faster than any other company I’ve been with and have addressed any other concerns in a very caring, professional and timely manner. This is my first time doing all of this alone and I couldn’t be happier, more comfortable, or feel any safer. From day, one with Bert, who showed me the apartment and walked me through the application process to now working with Alexis if I need anything… I’m very grateful to be with them and hope to stay for a long time!

Avoid Dean and Dewitt at all costs. By far the worst property management company I have ever had to deal with as a tenant. From day one when they took over the property I live in, it was nothing but nightmares. Maintenance issues took many phone calls and months to fix. Then when I had a plumbing issue and drainage was not working I was told by their employee, Olga Shahan, that I could either move out or live in a house where the plumbing wasn't working. She stated the property owners would not be fixing the problem anytime soon. Repairs were too extensive. However, I had spoken to the plumber and he told me he could fix it in a day. I then contacted the owners of the property directly. Apparently, they were not informed properly from Dean and Dewitt about the issue. The owners immediately got a plumber out and the problem was addressed and fixed. It seems that Olga Shahan wanted me out because she did not want to bother to fix the plumbing issue in a timely manner. I had never been a day late on rent or caused any issues. I have no idea why I was treated this way. Sheer laziness on the part of Dean and Dewitt and their employee? I certainly did not deserve this and wonder how many other owners/ tenants have received subpar service fom this company. Thankfully the owners decided to let go of Dean and Dewitt after all of this. Owners and tenants beware!

If you see a listing with Dean and Dewitt, please heed this warning and don’t walk….RUN!!!! They rented me a unit full of mold from the air conditioner. The drain pipe was installed incorrectly so the unit was filling up with water and had become smelly and moldy. Not only that, after being out of town for a week I came back and it was visibly growing on the wall. I have a special needs child with an autoimmune condition who was extremely sick when we were in the unit as well as my wife who was basically bedridden the whole time we were there. I begged Sean and Dewitt to let me out of the lease due to my family’s deteriorating health. Despite only staying 7 nights in the unit due to health reasons we could not overcome, Dean and Deshit charged us almost 10k in penalties. I was pleading for them to meet me halfway but no, they were all business. As a previous poster mentioned they illegally returned my deposit late too. Stay away from dean and Dewitt….sleep on the streets before signing here

Recently Sharon and Stephen assisted me with acquiring an apartment managed by Dean and Dewitt. I can't say enough good things about them. They both answered all of my questions and made the process effortless. I would recommend both of them to anyone who is looking for a new place to live. They are both great at their jobs. Melissa Stewart Since I posted this review I had assistance with several issues from Susan, MaryEllen and Hazel. I can't say enough about their professionalism and politeness.

Terrible management! I can not wait to get out of the apartment infested with large rodents that has not been taken care of other than pest control placing 2 small sticky strips which was pointless and D&D spraying foam into a hole which the rodents chewed completely through! They think I am to blame as I was out of town for the holidays and didn’t schedule sooner! Are you kidding me!? That is completely beside the point that IT HAS NOT BEEN TAKE CARE OF! It doesn’t matter if it was a year before I called pest control the point is the problem still exists!!!! It is an inhabitable, unsanitary environment with the rodents crapping on kitchen cabinets, chewing on my clothes, shoes and furniture and through food containers. Disgusting! 🤮 the rodents keep me awake running, screeching and eating things. I’m getting my attorney involved as they will not let me out of the lease early without penalty. According to FL law I have every right to terminate the lease if the rodent problem still exists. I do NOT recommend.
