I've been with Maple Leaf for almost 10 years now, and have had varied service. This most recent maintenance request was done professionally and with care, although I didn't get notified that it was complete. I appreciate that the whole property management company is working to improve communication overall, which may not have previously been up to standard. I plan to continue living here and I hope they strive toward continuous improvement. Care in this business is extremely important.

We have received 'how are we doing' surveys and follow up emails several times since moving in and every time we have a list of things to get addressed, including maintenance requests. But instead of fixing these we just get another email for a survey or a self-inspection of the apartment with pictures of what's wrong. Very few of the issues we have talked about before or in that inspection have actually been addressed and followed through on yet. Please be less automated and more personal and actually address issues you want us to point out.
Since leaving this review I have already received another 'how are we doing?' email that redirected me to this review. But still no word from anyone at Maple Leaf about fixing anything.

Maple Leaf regularly does not follow up after maintenance requests. Water damage from multiple plumbing issues took them literally years to fix after having to call the city to inspect the unaddressed violations at the property.
If I were a property owner, I would not choose them. Their vendors have caused damage to the property, which I have reported, but they would not address. Your property will not be in safe hands.

UPDATE: Remaining issues were resolved quickly once we escalated to ownership and Michelle stepped in to support. We're relieved and grateful.

UPDATE: We've now been in the home for 4 weeks. We've had to schedule and take time off work for 10 different visits from cleaners, handymen, sprinkler techs, pest control, range technician, and window repair. Still waiting on landlord APPROVAL for fixes we were told would be done prior to possession: peeling paint, moldy and crumbling baseboards, and paint/walls (unpatched holes, scratches, and stains in the paint in almost every room).
The property manager just suggested if we're not happy we should move out and they will terminate our lease!!

Home is beautiful! Unfortunately, our requests for a pre-move inspection were ignored. None of the landlord’s work that we had discussed (and had been documented on the landlord’s own inspection) had been done prior to our move in date (broken windows, peeling paint, moldy grout, grease dripping from hood…). Now we’re being asked to fill out work orders for everything, and the landlord will consider whether or not to approve. Hoping they honor their word!!
Expected better for $5,750 a month. It’s a gorgeous home. 🤷♂️🤞🏻

We rented a house through maple leaf with Lee Nichols as our property manager. We really appreciated all her help during this time. This is a thankless job; nobody ever appreciates a property manager. That is why I wanted to write this. She works really hard trying to please both sides. Even though she worked for the owners, she was very fair in her dealings with us. She always responded quickly and addressed the issues we had without any delays. She was very professional and a caring person and was sympathetic to our situation. She tried really hard to reason with the owners who left us in a damaged house with burst pipes for over 4 months, and we weren’t able to use part of the house. She fixed the plumbing right away, so we had running water, but couple of rooms were unusable as a result of walls, ceiling and floors being ripped out.
She was always fair and didn’t take sides. She repeatedly asked the owners to fix the place, which they ignored. Without her in the middle, I don’t think we would have lasted in this house as long as we did. Everything else that was in her control, she fixed right away, like when that heater stopped working, we had people here the next day fixing it. So thank you Lee for everything you do.

Apartments are great, staff and landlord are fantastic and quick to respond, neighbors and feeling of community is unmatched. The ground's keeper, cleaning ladies, and landscaper's keep the complex looking incredible.
The parking lot could use some work, and the 7009 building needs blockers for the ventilation holes in the roof. Other than that this place is perfect. I'm close to my three year anniversary living here and I've loved every moment of it. Definitely a gem amongst the Seattle renters market.
