I had a pretty good experience with Cornerstone Montgomery. Their app to use to submit maintenance requests is very user-friendly. I did have an issue with my heat, which was an ongoing problem that I had to report multiple times, but it did eventually get resolved. I definitely had a better experience with this company than I have with other property management companies.

Cornerstone has been managing the building I live in for the passed 2 years and I just signed the lease for my third year. They are fantastic to deal with. They are responsive and timely with service requests and are kind and pleasant people.

We searched for a new home for a few months with no luck and bad experiences until we found cornerstone property. When I saw the house I fell I love! Talking to James and the ladies in the office I knew we were making the right decision. Always helpful! Always responsive. Just an amazing group to rent from. They really care about to people and the properties!

I am a neighbor of a property managed by Cornerstone. Their property was renovated poorly and has numerous issues that I have been contacting Choyce (property manager) about since December 2023. I have sent the same photos and videos, describing what work needs to be done (per multiple contractors who have advised me), and given her contractor name and # so she can hear directly from him instead of me about the work. From January 12 - March 7, I did not hear a word from her and she did not have any issues taken care of, as she said she would. Yesterday, after nothing for two months, she said she was discontinuing communication. She said it was Because I was being “unprofessional.” I am not at my job. I am not the professional here. This is my personal property, and when yours is damaging it, and you don’t do your job for months, and my “please” and “thank you” language doesn’t get things done, I had to resort to a different tone. Which finally got responses (but no work being completed). I have no clue if this is her fault, someone else at Cornerstone, or the homeowner. That’s not the point. The point is, if she would’ve communicated a timeline, communicated anything at all, it would not have come to this… There is now a Structural Deficiency out with Baltimore City for the property (per the recommendation of a city inspector I had a long conversation with). I am probably going to put a second one as well. All because Choyce and/or Cornerstone would not communicate. I didn’t want to escalate it to the city. I wanted to talk to neighbors and get it resolved. What gets me even more than her/Cornerstone not wanting to help me, a neighbor, is that I made her aware of a huge gap in the steps where a poor dog’s paw got stuck several months ago (several neighbors are traumatized by the noise). Months ago I showed her the pic and never got fixed. New tenants are here as of last week or so WITH A DOG and it’s still there. I’m horrified by the lack of empathy these companies have. Why go into this business??? Since the total denial of communicate started, I got in touch with James, who is higher up maybe. Hoping this goes better and I can update my review.

Highly recommended Property Management Company. James was very helpful throughout the entire rental process and his Staff has always been professional and quick to respond to my service requests. They completed repair requests in a very quick timeframe and always followed up to ensure I was satisfied with the service. The payment portal is very easy to use and convenient and my rental payments were reported monthly which was an added bonus. Thank you for the great service!

I’ve had my property managed by James Gagnon and his team at Cornerstone since 2019. Great experience all along and always very responsive to any issues and great communication. Most importantly, they have found excellent tenants for my property and been proactive in the process to find new tenants to minimize turn over time. Would highly recommend Cornerstone for your property management needs.
