On 11-19-24 I reported the hot water not working. The lady from the office who talks with a lisp said since I'm the only one in the building complaining about it, there is nothing she can do and for me to get up extra early to see if the hot water working so I can shower. The hot water has not been working at all since I reported it. I then spoke to Anna on 11-26-24, she said they were working on it and it's on the emergency list but the hot water is still not working nor has anyone been over to the building to work on it. We had to spend Thanksgiving with no hot water.

This place is a joke I applied for a unit through bhb. They talk about employment requirements but it never say you have to be on your job for 2 years. I feel like they are taken people's application fees and denied them.

Larry and his team helped me save almost $8k by fully investigating an issue coming from the basement and not settling with the first quote. Initially, thoughts were a sewage leak into the basement resulting in a almost $9k quote from one company, however after Larry pushing to find the root cause, they found it was not sewage but food and water from the kitchen sink piping that was dislodged, resulting in a $1500 fix. I am really grateful that not only are they into fixing the problem for the tenant but also taking care of the property owner. Thank you!

BHB has been in the community supporting families for years. The owner, Mr. Larry, and his staff assisted me many times over the past 20 years. When people ask me about rental properties, home ownerships, or property management, I send them to BHB because I know they do their best to assist their clients. BHB is not perfect, but when there is an issue, the owner is very hands on in making sure it gets resolved. BHB is a great asset and resource for all your housing needs.

Excellent Staff, courteous, friendly and accurate property management team. Always kept me updated and ahead of any forthcoming concerns. Larry and Ashia is the best you will find in Indianapolis, along with the entire staff. I have a team that looks out for my profits and having the properties in excellent condition. I would not recommend that anybody goes through this investment company. After calling almost daily, we were finally able to tour a house after a couple weeks. By the time we were finally able to get in for a tour, there were many applicants ahead of us. During the tour we saw an overwhelming amount of rat/bat poop in the attic, broken windows, and no railing on the stairs (not up to code). We decided to take a chance on the house since it was in a good location and we were told these would be fixed. We thought we were lucky when all of the applicants were denied. We realized that they were all denied because this company does not want to accept anyone. We were denied because my boyfriend does not have check stubs with his line of work. We sent bank statements and tax returns (told this was acceptable) and highlighted the portions that showed he makes enough to be over 5x the amount of rent. This was still denied. We even got co-signers and were denied again. We were strung along for over 8 weeks with almost no communication and denied for reasons that did not add up. Do not go through this company.
