I have both rented and purchased with the Mid North group - I would highly recommend for both. They keep very nice, well-maintained rental units. The entire move-in / move-out process was easy (they provide clear checklists that give you all the information you would need) and they were quite responsive to maintenance requests during my tenancy. Very professional and friendly staff. On the purchasing side, the process was a breeze. They are very knowledgeable and communicative - I was never in the dark on anything, never had to go looking for information, and they made sure that I completely understood where we were in the process at any point all the way through closing. I've purchased three properties with them (with Nathan and Kirsten) and plan to use them for any future purchases. If you're looking to rent, buy, or sell in the Pella area, this is your group!

This group I highly recommend as they provide excellent communication skills and deliver what they promise. If there is an issue, they get it done correctly. Mid North Realty. Nate takes pride in what they do, serving the community with Nate, Josh, and Ben as they do first-class work. They are the best in the area.

We rented a place from MidNorth, and we used them to find us a house to purchase. The rental was clean and well taken care of. When repairs needed to be made, MidNorth was quick to take care of the problems and repair them. When we started looking for a home to buy, MidNorth did an excellent job finding us a property and helping us with negotiating the contract and the technical matters regarding that. If you are looking for a good rental, I highly recommend them! If you want to find a good agent to list your home or help you purchase a home, I highly recommend the agents at MidNorth.

If you rent from these people, you need to just accept that you will not get your deposit back. They built their system so that it is impossible to get ahold of anyone. The only way to talk to anyone is to select "1" on the phone tree, indicating it is an emergency. And even at that, the majority of the time you get a voice mail. In the 3 months I was there I could not get them to repair the toilet seat, the fact the toilet ran constantly, or the slits that were cut into the window screens. And when they "repaired" the blinds, they just took one set of broken blinds and replaced them with another set of broken blinds. I ended up fixing the first two things myself. When I moved out, I cleaned very well and I had to call multiple times to tell them I was moving out (Dec. 13th). The guy I finally talked to told me to e-mail them that I had moved out. I did this a couple days latter. The next thing I hear from them was that I was late on my rent for January. I email them again. The next communication I received was late January telling me that they prorated my rent for the amount of $585.97 for 30 days from the second email, ignoring the fact I called them on the 13th and emailed then a couple days latter. Instead using the 2nd email day of the 25th or 26th to prorate from. Then charged me $52.87 in utilities for a month I was not there, and finally they charged me $200 because I left a cardboard box in the bedroom and a box of cheese sticks in the freezer. That was $200 for removing a cardboard box and a box of cheese sticks. I spent 2 hours sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing the night before I left. Conveniently all the charges came to just $20 shy of my full $900 deposit. To me it feels as if they will always find a reason to keep your deposit. My suggestion is to just assume they will keep all your deposit. Do not put a lot of extra effort into cleaning when you leave, you will be charged $200 no matter how clean or dirty the place is, so might as well let them earn the cleaning fee.
