I'm a paramedic, my wife is an ICU nurse and Andrew did the impossible with helping us buy our first home. I'm afraid to specify because then some of you might think lightning strikes twice. Prefacing comment, I didn't know the guy till two weeks ago; we closed today. We have no family or friend relation to him. We were referred by our agent in MA for a very last-minute NH property visit and ended up buying. Bosco cuts to the quick. I liked his pace. It's like working an emergency with someone who knows what they're doing versus someone who doesn't. You don't have time for nonsense and you need someone that you can trust. I trust him. On our first call, he thought that I was a different client with the same name (not his fault at all) and I mention this because it gave me a window into how he works with people regardless of how much money he's going to make. The same. My Mom was a real estate agent in California and she says some pretty negative things about real estate agents. A lot of them only care about the money and closing a sale; not this guy. Regarding lightning, he got 50k off the asking; it became surreal when the appraisal matched the asking (and we still closed at a price just above a new doublewide or the cheapest of modular homes). Again, this won't happen to you, so keep the expectations within reason. You want a bulldog for negotiation; someone with a fast mind. Andrew Bosco has a strong personality, great for negotiation but it can be intimidating, which means you need someone to tell you that you can trust him so you don't get the feeling you're being pushed into a quick sale. I can only attest that he put the work in for us and we were not a money maker for him but he treated us well and did the impossible.
