I am writing to share my experience with the 9223 location in Santee, where we worked with Madison. Our credit scores are 800 and 780, and we have no evictions or bankruptcies. Additionally, our income exceeds three times the cost of rent. Initially, Madison indicated that we had not uploaded the proper documentation. She advised us to provide six months' worth of bank statements and assured us that it was acceptable to blur transactions unrelated to our pay deposits and past rental payments. However, we were subsequently denied due to claims of submitting altered bank statements, not providing pay stubs, and failing to submit two years of my business's tax returns. Madison had previously stated that if we submitted the bank statements, we "should be good." Since our denial, we have attempted to reach out via email and phone, but our inquiries have gone unanswered. We possess the necessary documentation to meet their criteria and believe we are more than qualified as renters. I would air caution when applying for houses from this property management company and maybe verify with other agents to ensure you have the proper format of documents and documentation.

There was a major maintenance issue that arose in the home outside of anyone’s control. Although the property manager’s obligation is clearly to the owner and they had to do what they could to protect the property, they were very helpful and showed a lot of care for me as the tenant throughout the process. I have heard a lot of nightmare stories of San Diego landlords and their maintenance practices, but my experience was not that at all. I was grateful for their desire to take care of the property because it gave me a nice place to live. The move-out process was also very easy and straightforward, they require the property be professionally cleaned at move-out but were able to provide reasonably priced recommendations for this service. I’d definitely rent from them again when they have a property that fits my needs.

It was an urgent move as I had to relocate due to flooding and they understood the urgency and made a stressful situation a bit easier. Their viewing and application process were easy to complete and their staff was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. They have an online portal I can use to request any maintenance if I need it and have the option to pay rent online which is really convenient.
