I have been a renter for Henderson Properties for 10 plus years and have been on a month to month lease until last year not realizing I signed a 1 year lease. However, they were gracious not only for last year but this year too for waiving the renewal fee, showing their appreciation of not applying a renewal fee considering I have been a great tenant and paid my rent on time or earlier. In addition to that I am currently in between jobs and I really genuinely appreciate them working with me to not apply the renewal fee. I want these individuals recognized in a shining positive way who are property manager Toree, and Shelby. Thank you both for your kindness, consideration and integrity. God Bless you both! I give them not only 5 stars but 5 stars +++.

Gina was my realtor when selling my NC home. She is absolutely amazing! I am a realtor myself, and Gina went above and beyond throughout the process! She tried to track down the original builder, worked through multiple buyers and inspection issues, worked through warranty issues. She really dug and dug to get answers for the buyers. I was stunningly impressed with her effort and fortitude on this transaction! I would call Gina again the next time I needed an awesome realtor!

Very corrupt company, only after money, no empathy or compassion, toward their tenants or other clients,so I am having to file civil charges against them in State Court, contacting the 3 major local TV. Stations and filing a complaint with HUD for Housing because I am Jewish.
With this company, It's all about greed since the company was founded 1 October 1989, and became a corporation 6 July 1998.
I will state this there is one employee in the Leasing Department named Jordan, that is a decent person that has tried to help me settle this Legal conflict to the best of his ability, sadly he is the exception not the rule.The real problems comes from Grant, Adam, Shelby, and Joe,who is no longer with the company. (Joe left a few months back).,and the Owners, Philip and Shelly, which you can easily look up their info on the N.C. Secretary of State web Site and the BBB web site. It's all public record.
As stated above also having to have HUD involved for Religious discrimination against me because I am Jewish., and I also am having to have at least 4 employees investigated for alleged criminal crimes committed against me as well. .
Avoid doing any business with this company, if at all possible, unless they change their ways.
I shall gladly see them in court with a jury trial if need be.I have offered to settle out of court, but other than Jordan, they mostly refuse to even reply back to me or even speak to me at all.The public reply below is the first reply at all in days, and it's full of falsehoods just to cover their tracks and look good to the public.You do not have to take just my word, read all their reviews at Google and the BBB
Read their reviews, even Property Owners not just Tenants, give them bad reviews.The says a lot.

They refuse to see my side of the story, and admit their wrong doings against me.I was put in a very unsafe and uninhabitable apt for 4 months, and I have suffered personal injury, along with losing money as well,and having to be displaced into another unit, and charged nearly 945.00 along with moving cost of 808.68, after being told I would not be charged any money at all for November 2024 and no 35.00 a month RBP at all, which is a scam in itself.
Also I was told they would cover my moving expenses with a rent credit.Instead they send me a invoice, that in no way do I owe.
They need to understand that justice shall be served against them and that they are not above the Law.They will be held accountable by the State and Federal Law, in due time,
This company needs to be held fully and legally accountable for years of mistreatment to their tenants and clients.
Also and I have proof of this fact, I have never threatened anyone at Henderson Proprieties in any way.I have simply stated my legal rights and options available to me by due process of law that is stated in the U.S. Constitution.We all have the same legal rights.

Update: Today December 16 2024, they sent me a demand letter saying that I owe them over 9,000 dollars, which is totally false.I owe them zero,they owe me.
They did this after I left this public review.That's called Rule To Vacate Retaliation, which is also illegal on their part.

If I could leave 0, I would.
I had a disappointing experience with Henderson Properties. After moving out, I was not shocked to find that they overcharged us from our security deposit for issues that were either pre-existing or negligible, as this behavior was consistent throughout our entire tenancy.
We were charged for paint touch-ups, holes in the walls, toilet seats, and carpet marks that were already present before we moved in. Despite providing evidence that these issues were not caused by us, the management was unresponsive and unwilling to address our concerns. There was no point in allowing any sort of contention to the charges, as they did not supply any sort of response other than "the charges stand." That is not a reason why.
The lack of transparency and fairness in handling the security deposit left a sour taste in our mouths. I would not recommend renting from them, but if you do.. expect to lose most of your security deposit. We were left the home better than it was found and was responded to as if we trashed the place.
Overall, I cannot recommend Henderson Properties based on my experience.
Response to their response** In their response they make it seem like there was no pushback from us regarding the amount we received. AS REQUESTED, we sent a PHYSICAL LETTER to contest the errors. There was never an opportunity for conversation as their response was "the charges stand". THERE WAS NEVER A REAL CHANCE FOR US TO RESPOND AS THEY SHUT DOWN OUR CONCERNS WITHOUT REASONING INSTANTLY. Until we left a review, they didn't seem concerned.

Henderson Properties is awesome! The ease of being a tenant with them makes it better. We have apps to pay rent and apps for maintenance request. I wanted to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received upon moving into my unit. I had some service issues, and Jordan and Shelby promptly addressed them. I recently returned to Henderson after being moved to another property management company by a previous owner, and I am grateful for the team’s hard work and dedication.
I also want to recognize the professionalism and promptness of Anthony from the maintenance team. He resolved my service issues with patience and provided clear explanations throughout the process.

Becoming a tenant of Henderson Properties was the best decision my family and I. We started our relationship with Henderson Properties about 3 years ago. Up until recently everything was normal. Annual walks, maintenance issues, etc. All were handled promptly and professionally as expected. The home wasn’t so great but it was maintained well by Henderson Properties. We recently had a tree destroy the home. We were distraught to say the least. Although we still had some time with our current lease, we still were in need of a home immediately. Without the help of Shelby, Emily, Jordan, and John at Henderson Properties, we wouldn’t have found a home as quick as we did. Within 2 weeks they helped us transition to a new place, all while managing the current situation. My family and I happy with our new home and happy to be with Henderson Properties.
