About us
I have always believed that the best path into generational wealth is with Real Estate. There is nothing that I love more than turning my veteran clients into real estate investors using their VA loans. I am a Chicago Realtor that has been in business since 2017. After a 25 year as an advertising photographer who specialized in food and small product, I decided to make a career change after realizing that no one wanted to pay my photographer fee's anymore and I refused to work harder for less money. As a member of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) and a veteran myself, I found a niche working with veterans to not only purchase a residence but to become investors as well. I am the Govt. Affairs Director for the Chicago VAREP chapter and I am on the National Legislative Committee in which I go to DC 1 - 2 times a year to meet with our congressional and senatorial offices to continue making sure that veteran home ownership is manageable to our veteran populations. Many of who do not even know that they have the ability to utilized their VA loan. VAREP is here to educate Veterans, Lenders and Realtors on how to help other veterans use their VA loans and stop the misinformation. I am the co-owner of a property development company called Chicagoland Veteran Developers and I am co-owner of a small property management company called RC & JC Property Solutions. Since Spring of 2023, I have called Vylla Home my brokerage. Through Vylla, I get access to REO properties that I didn't have access to at my other brokerage. I currently have 6 properties in my portfolio and I'm just getting started.

Jerry is really the best and made our first home buying experience simple using the VA home loan. What stood out was he wasn’t just a broker collecting commission but a genuine human. He really went above and beyond finding a place that was right for us and steered us clear of all the garbage. His knowledge of the market and bidding recommendations were spot on.

Jerry was great to work with when my lady and I were purchasing our first home.
I don't know if my experience was unique but as first-time buyers, we shifted in what we were looking for once we started looking. We originally started looking for a place for her and I but she comes from a fairly large family. Once we started looking, we realized that we could accommodate some more of her family with our budget. Jerry was able to pivot and start showing us other homes within our price range that could accommodate more people. He's incredibly understanding about your investment in a property that you may potentially own for the next 30 years and is not going to force you into a decision. He will show you as many properties as he needs to in order to make sure you have found your right fit.
He understands the VA Home Loan program very well and so does his network. The first mortgage broker that I wanted to use fell through, but Jerry had a fantastic broker that came through for us as well as the attorneys and everybody else that's required for purchasing a home. The process was seamless! I'm never selling this place given the interest rate that I got, but if I decide on a second home later then I'm definitely contacting Jerry!

I’m a mortgage lender and I have done many deals with Jerry Cox. Knowing I’m working with Jerry makes my job so much easier. He can anticipate what documents I’ll need to keep my file moving forward.
