Buying a house can be a fairly stressful endeavor, and it gets worse when you deal with realtors or loan officers who are minimally knowledgeable, not responsive, or customer-centric. The first realtor and loan office we dealt with possessed all these traits, negatively impacting how we viewed the housing market. Then enter's Uri Lapcevic. After our bad experience with unresponsive realtors and unknowledgeable loan officers, we grew somewhat standoffish; our trust in the process was at an all-time low. Uri completely turned this around. He was super responsive, customer-centric, and knowledgeable, putting us in touch with mortgage brokers who knew what they were doing. Suddenly, we discovered we could increase our purchasing power by 1/3. This is pretty significant, and we found this out because of Uri.
After finding out that our search limit for a home would grow, our optimism increased, and we suddenly realized that we did not have to settle and could buy a house we loved. During our search, Uri was very responsive, showing up in as little as 30 minutes to show us a home we just found. We were constantly scouring Zillow, looking for new homes that popped up, and it took us a few months to finally find the right home. During this time, Uri was patient and understood the importance of finding the right home. When we finally found the home, we knew we needed to jump on it due to its location. Within 2 hours, Uri met us at the home, and we determined we would make an offer. That day, Uri submitted our offer. Uri made the process run smoothly. He quickly wrote amendments, generated agreements, and went to bat for us as the buyers. When it came time to negotiate, he was a pit bull.
Uri negotiated a new $28,500 roof and a new $12,000 Packaged AC unit, totaling $40,500 for us as the buyers. We closed, with the title company having to cut us a check. This was because Uri did his due diligence, understood the technicalities, and used them to negotiate a nearly unheard-of deal in today's sellers' market. Taking it a step further, as we continue to deal with roofers for our new home purchase, Uri has maintained a relationship, ensuring our roofing process continues to run smoothly. He has undoubtedly taken the brunt of our frustrations as buyers in today's market, and he has remained calm, cool, and collected, offering solutions and consistently reminding us of positive introspections within our situation. For these reasons, we advocate 5-stars across the board for Uri. His knowledge and understanding of the system are a substantial advantage to any buyer looking to purchase a forever home or investment property. We would happily hire him again.

NM Home Deals stayed by me and my husband during a very difficult closing! Steve went above and beyond to make everything work out. He connected us with all the appropriate contractors to sell the house. We are so relieved that the sell finally closed and there is no way we could have done this without Steve.

Steve helped me sell and purchase a house. He was always available for my questions, and I had a lot. He knows the business and advocates for his clients every minute until the deal is closed as well as after. He checked in after closing just to make sure the house was good and we were happy with our purchase. Buying a home is stressful and he is the only realtor I will use for any transaction. Five star service is only the beginning. Steve is a rock star!!!

We’ve been working with Steve for years I can’t thank him enough for always being at the ready when we’re interested in a property. He has always been more than upfront about properties and dealings, one of the many reasons we continue to do business with him and his team. I would highly recommend Steve and the team at NM home deals!

Buyers Beware: I write this to warn people to be careful about the lies, fake smiles and horrible service I received from this company (see attached picture). They only care about getting their commission and will screw over anyone who stands in their way. Make sure you do a walkthrough on the day of closing because I trusted Steve and he took advantage of my trust and left me a home with garbage.
My closing was scheduled for March 22, 2024. Sahar began pressuring me to sign on the 21st and I told them that I will only be signing after I have done a walkthrough of the house and verify that the owner has repaired the issues in the house that we agreed upon when we went under contract.
Steven already told me that the home will be cleaned up by the time I get there for a walkthrough, which was one lie among many lies he had told me just to get the house sold.
On March 21st, the house was empty but was completely dirty. Both toilets were filthy and there was hair all over the bathroom sink. The kitchen range was dirty and there was burnt residue food and ash in the oven.
During the walkthrough I saw that none of the items that we agreed to during the inspection were fixed or repaired (shower head, toilet, closet doors, dirty HVAC filter) even after Steven assured me that the Seller will fix the issues. Steven represented me and the seller, and kept lying to me that the buyer will fix the items we agreed on. I have pictures (see attached pictures) and proof for everything I am saying here. I know he will deny this or say he doesn't have a client with my name.
He promised that they would finish cleaning the house by the end of March 21st or early morning on March 22nd. On March 22nd, which was the closing day, the house was still not ready for me to move in. When I contacted Steven, he lied again. He said that I would get access to the house when the funds had been released and the house had been recorded in the County office. The funds had been released and the transactions recorded at the County office already, and I confirmed that with the Title company. He lied again that the funds had not been released so the cleaner could have more time to clean the house.
I had to wait in my car for over 4 hours after after checking out of my Airbnb residence because of how incompetent Steven (the real estate broker) handled the transaction and they didn't follow up with the seller to make sure that the repairs were done and the house was cleaned.
When I went to the house on closing, I was left with trash filled up to the top of two separate garbage dumpsters. Trash was left behind for me to deal with. I have pictures. The cleaner was cleaning up the house until about 7.30pm and I also had to help out with some of the cleaning as well. They eventually have the items fixed but that was after i insisted on them making the repair that we agreed on during inspection.
They have no decency to even provide me the key for the house and they told me on the phone to get the key from the cleaner at the house. They provided me no information on how to sign up for utility, water or sewer until I reached out to them and for it. I still also don't know where the mailbox to my house is located.
If they can treat me like this, they most likely have done the same thing to other clients.
Update: Like I expected, you have no integrity and lie all the time, just like you did in your response to my review. All you did is deflect with excuse. You are sorry because i called you out for the horrible way you handled the transaction. You never sent the information to transfer the utility on 03/18, stop the lies and dishonesty Steve. I never agreed to accept and didn't received $400 credit for cleaning the house. The Seller agreed to professionally clean the house in addendum. I had to help with the cleaning too. You are a dishonest sales person Steven. And you only paid out of pocket because you want your commission, not because you care. I never told you I wanted to stay in the parking lot. Stop the lies. Please check and verify whatever he tells you.
