When I visited to view some units, they were all move-in ready and meticulously maintained. Got approved for a apartment.. Had help from a resource for the deposit.. Talked to Matt and let him know I have the deposit but the place I'm getting help from wanted a rental agreement. Matt said he'd send me a rental agreement,but won't sign it until he receives the deposit 🤔🤔 Ummmm how do you except to get a deposit with an unsigned document. This doesn't make any sense.. If I went through a resource for deposit help.. OF COURSE their going to need a signature.. MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE.. 😕. Our first contact your voicemail makes no sense either.. no criticism how are you a property company but your machine says you don't answer from unknown numbers.. I don't need to work on nothing you don't make sense nor does your machine.. with that being said, Good you found someone. Obviously your company doesn't know anything about section 8 and their rules and regulations... Oh by the way you approved me on Tuesday afternoon and expected deposit that day.... You couldn't wait until Friday like I asked...

Matt made sure every message was clear and timely, whether it was with me or prospective tenants. No corporate jargon, just straightforward conversations. Their marketing skills are on point. Matt knows the local market inside out and set competitive rental rates that made sense. Their marketing strategies were effective, and my property got noticed. It was a pleasant surprise. Tenant screening is where they excel. Background checks, including credit, criminal, and rental history, are thorough. 100% unprofessionalism by Matt. 1. He brought his kid to the first ever meeting with me. Kids are playful and they shout and make noise. Understood. But when it’s making me unable to hear Matt, shouldn’t he restrain his kid or ask his wife to take his kid away or as a courtesy apologize for the inconvenience? 2. Matt started advertising my property in popular portals. I asked him why he wouldn’t advertise on Craigslist. He didn’t like that. 3. A week or so into advertising the property, he gave me feedback on the property condition and asked me to fix few things. I was getting it done as soon as it was possible on my end. But I also wanted to know how many people showed interest and how many actually visited the property. I asked him for this info and he said he can’t give me this info. I read that he didn’t have adequate people to share it with me. Don’t I have a right to know this? Please stay away from HPM and Matt.

HPM reliably managed our condo in Hayward for the last seven years. They found great tenants within days (hours? can't remember) of our first conversation, and those tenants are still current. Matt Herz and company were always quick to meet the tenants' needs whether it was routine maintenance or emergency repairs, and always checked with me first on big decisions. Highly recommend HPM.

It was nice with Hayward Property Management for 5 years. They helped us a lot on fixing or replacing broken appliance. Also, reply our requests quickly. They even replacing the entire deck for us to have some space for barbecue. The manager Matt is a nice guy, he always answers our e-mail no later than two days and get the work done as fast as he can. For those who are looking to rent a house in bay area, I highly recommend Hayward Property Management to you.
