If I could give minus stars, I would. I leased a duplex on East 37th Place for four years. From the time I moved in, the oven never worked, nor did two burners on the stove. I reported the stove to Maintenance numerous times and the complaint was totally ignored. I was not even given the courtesy of an answer. The front steps to my duplex had settled into the ground, making the steps extremely steep. There was no handrail on those front steps, so I paid a cabinetmaker to put a very nice one on. Pulling myself up those steps for those years caused me to have a herniated disc in my back. I reported the problem, after a gentleman who had worked for the City of Tulsa told me the steps did not meet the code requirements. They sent someone out to look at them. Then, they wrote me a letter telling me they would do nothing and the case was closed. I had to Duct tape the living room window closed, because it needed replacement; the kitchen ceiling leaked; the final absurdity was a RAT that apparently lived under the house and came in and out at will, under the kitchen sink. It got into my linen closet and left hundreds of droppings, which caused me to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of sheets. I am now in a lovely apartment, for less money, equipped with all new appliances, including a washer and dryer. This, I left a brand new washer and dryer at the duplex, assuming I would get my deposit back. That was October 25. It is now December, 25, and I am obviously NOT getting my deposit. This place should be condemned.

Renters Place has made our move so much less stressful and almost hassle free! Abby is such a wonderful and helpful person. I appreciated the time she took to communicate with me and answered any questions I had. We just had a bi-annual inspection done and Luke Dewan was very friendly, kind, patient with the kiddos wanting to follow him lol and very respectful. He made sure everything was fine and took the time to communicate with me what he had done and checked. Our FIRST time working with such professional rental management company. Thank you Renters Place!

This journey with Abby at Renters place has long and at times frustrating for me but Abby kept the same calm energy through it all. She never spoke in a “oh lord it’s Mrs Alice again”, or anything negative. She was always polite, positive, respectful, honest and understanding. Working with her has been and still is my pleasure 😇 she is indeed a breath of fresh air. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t want to leave out maintenance, he was also caring and understanding.

I cannot say enough good things about Abby at Renters Place! After dealing with several nightmare landlords, I was starting to lose hope of finding a property manager who truly cares. Then I met Abby, and she has been an absolute angel throughout the entire process. From day one, she made my moving experience so easy and stress-free. Abby treats me like a person, not just another tenant, which is something I haven’t experienced in a long time. She is incredibly responsive, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. I truly appreciate how she listens to my concerns and addresses them promptly. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about both you and the property, I highly recommend working with Abby. She has been a breath of fresh air, and I’m grateful to have her as my housing manager.

Buyer beware. Renters Place takes advantage of vulnerable populations - disabled, low income, homeless, etc. I signed a lease with them after reviewing a unit I was under the impression that it would undergo a make-ready process where they would clean/paint/repair before I would move in. The day I was to move in, I met with the property manager at her office and she assured me that she herself as well as a maintenance person were on site earlier that morning and the unit was ready to go. I signed the papers and got the door code, I was so excited and the property manager asked me to give them a 5-Star Review on Google before I left her office, which I did! I arrived to the unit to move in and the AC was not working, covered in filth and it was 97 degrees inside the unit. Only half the stove was working, the bathtub had moldy caulking, the stairs to the unit were broken and unsafe, and there was food all over the walls in the kitchen. I am homeless and my son is disabled (they knew this), and I paid six months in advanced. To make matters worse, the gas hot water heater was not installed properly and I had to call code enforcement who confirmed it was not to code. It took some pushing but I refused to move in, and demanded my money back. Please advocate for yourself - everyone deserves a safe, clean place to live!
