Renting out our house with John and Brooke at Rent My Home was a game-changer. They made the process super easy and stress-free. Their organization and efficiency were top-notch, and they always had quick answers to our questions. It felt like they took all the worries off our shoulders. Worst property management company. John, the property manager, and his behavior traits should be addressed. John has narcissitic tendencies and communicates in a condescending manner. In addition, his style of how he chooses to communicate with his clients is unprofessional. One second he is happy and wants to help, the next he is upset because he has to do a job that requires tough communication and conversations that he has not learned how to have as a business owner. He throws a temper tantrum like a child when a boundary is set and has called me names (like a child would do) (screenshot below). In addition, I was charged a $504 maintenance fee to my account that was not authorized, and breached the contract that we had until Sept 2024. As an owner, I am aware of my legal rights. I do not have to pay for a repair WITHOUT knowing why it needs to be repaired. My messages clearly ask for someone to call me to inform me of what is going on with the A/C. To insinuate that I would refuse to provide a working A/C in a new build, 5 year old $500,000 townhome that I own, near downtown popular Nashville is insane and manipulative. I take great care of this townhome, and if I did not, the renter would be unhappy. I recently completed an expensive remodel repair at this same property in May where John was respectable at this time, because I had to do all the work for the repair. (Screenshot below). And to say I have been in violation due to being in contact with the renter, well that screenshot is below informing you that I had to inform the tenant of the pest control needed at the property. I was not in violation of a contract. This management owner has provided unprofessional and untrue emotional response to this review. A previous client had a similar complaint 7 months ago and John stated he “fired” them as well. He truly has this ego and power battle going on internally. Please save your time and money and do not use this company.
