FAIR WARNING TO FIND A DIFFERENT LENDER DESPITE THE HIGH RATING REVIEWS. READ THIS REVIEW FIRST BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR POTENTIAL STRESS AND TIME LOSS. I am not sure where to start so let me name drop because a company culture starts with the top. Our loan officer is/was Daniel Dominguez. We sent a complaint email to the following people listed on the website the founder Dr. Steven Kaufman (the email provided on the website actually bounced back), the COO Chris Tury, the Sr. Director of Ops Brad Rugen, the Director of Loan Origination Jonathan Driver, and VP of Special Assets Makya Campbell seeking any kind of help but as we're already use to NO ONE RESPONDED AT ALL not even an "Email received and we're looking into it" literally NO RESPONSE from anyone. When applying for a mortgage to refinance our first investment property, we chose a lender that came highly recommended by our RE Group and despite the recent other low rating reviews we chose Zeus anyhow and we will be the first to tell you WHAT A MISTAKE by ignoring the bad reviews and trusting our RE Group who recommended this horrible company. My wife and I hoped and prayed that we wouldn't be here posting a 1-Star Review but unfortunately, my experience with this lender turned out to be disappointing and frustrating (emails attached). Daniel was very responsive in the beginning and gradually communication with the loan officer Daniel became inconsistent. Literally having to resend information multiple times not only from us but from the title company as well. Initially, Daniel promised to keep us updated throughout the process and that we can possibly have this process completed by end of September but we frequently found ourselves initiating follow-ups to get updates. For instance, there were times where we had no idea whether the application had progressed despite the weekly email updates that were only repeated information from the previous weeks. When we did manage to reach Daniel, the answers were vague and often contradictory, leaving us uncertain about the status of the loan. As we approached the end of September, the lender suddenly requested additional documentation, such as updated bank statements, rent free verification letters, tenant lease agreement, new pay-off tax amount, new 2nd appraisal, etc. While we understand these requests can arise, the timing was problematic. These requests caused delays and unnecessary stress especially when we had to send multiple times the same document because Daniel couldn't find it in his email and at which one point stated "Oh I found it BURIED in my emails" which is clear sign of unorganized. These items requested was delivered if not same day at least within 24 hours from me and within 5 business days from the title company. This lack of upfront disclosure made me question the lender's integrity. Perhaps the most stressful part of the experience was the delay in closing. Despite assurances that the loan would be ready by the agreed-upon closing date, it was delayed by over a week and another week and ANOTHER WEEK and then a month and ANOTHER MONTH AND AS OF DECEMBER 19TH STILL NO CLOSED LOAN. Ultimately, we have decided to move on to a different lender and cut our losses, but the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. The lack of communication, lack of transparency, and delays made what should have been an exciting milestone unnecessarily stressful. While we understand that the mortgage process can be complex, we expected a higher level of professionalism and transparency from Zeus Lending. Had we known the challenges we would face, we would have explored other lenders more thoroughly and chose a different lender. This experience taught us the importance of reading reviews and trusting them especially when they are recent, asking detailed questions upfront, and ensuring that the lender is communicative and transparent before committing to them. Trust us they will over promise you to heaven but under deliver you to hell.

While other banks were quick to say "no" to our cash out and refi needs, Gus was able to provide options to our financing needs to grow and invest in our business.
