Dana Dunford

Dana Dunford is the CEO and co-founder of Hemlane, a technology-enabled property management platform. She is a strong advocate of purchasing properties anywhere, as the best investments are not typically in your backyard. She supports real estate investors in setting up a process to manage their rentals from a distance, while connecting them with local, licensed professionals for leasing and repair coordination.

Experience
Dana started her career in Silicon Valley and currently lives in San Francisco. She worked at Apple on their worldwide financial planning and analysis team and at Nest, the home technology company acquired by Google for $3.2B, in business development.

Dana ventured into building a better solution for property management after her family experienced problems with managing rental properties from a distance. With her co-founder, Frank Liu, they built an all-in-one leasing and management platform for real estate investors. Hemlane helps manage over 8,500 rental units in the U.S. and is ranked No. 1 by Gartner for property management. The platform is built for rental owners and managers with one to 100 rental properties.

Education
Dana received her MBA from Harvard Business School. She has a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and two bachelor’s degrees from Santa Clara University.
