I'll stick with being more involved with the outcome of my investment instead of trying to predict the market for a stock. 

I do some real estate development consulting here in the area, and have prepared zoning verification for commercial deals, so I have a unique perspective on it all.

Are there any unique lease provisions you use?  

Legally, they probably aren't entitled to anything, but the practical problem remains as there are possible outcomes I cant foresee.

I’m from New Jersey and Chicago homes look so unique to me.

Good chance they won’t last through the lease,let alone renew.If you have a unique play and you can be ok with the thing being empty for two years during the next recession then it might be interesting.

For 'no response' outcomes, I would want to send mail again after some time.

We are including washer/dryer hook ups and it will have it's own yard, which is what makes it unique.
