I think the idea is to gauge their level of motivation of selling and setting an appt, essentially moving to the next step of actually presenting an offer and attempting to purchase/wholesale or whatever your exit strategy is.

Some folks get pretty scientific about their approach to mailers, while others will say it doesn’t matter whether the letter is handwritten or not—a motivated seller is a motivated seller and will call regardless of the size, font, message, etc.
