It was purchased by us as individuals, not through our LLC. 

If you haven't noticed, there are almost no individual spec builds here, only neighborhoods built by big developers.

However, the landlord typically will be carrying all of the operating costs (utilities, internet, etc), so more revenue does not always mean more net income.There is also more administration as you have a lease with every individual rather than each unit.  

Tenant owned and controlled housing enables low-income individuals and communities to benefit from development in our own neighborhoods and have greater control over the future of our communities.

Americans simply don't want to acknowledge the workings and vast impact of structural racism, let alone individual racist attitudes and behavior.

However, there is a cap on that profit - $250,000 for an individual and $500,000 for a married couple filing jointly. 

You're going to want to go after these individuals.

I would like to learn as much as I can and build some savings before seeking help to avoid wasting time or dealing with the wrong individuals.

My costs are a lot less than a larger company typically charges because I use a lot of my own items and just rent out larger pieces that are specific to the theme/design of the individual home that is being staged.
