As we get further into a mortgage, particularly once you reach the tipping point where the principal portion of the mortgage payment is larger than the interest component, we are less inclined to make prepayments.

Some tips you may want to be aware of are: - if you move from your current home to another the underwriter will need to be convinced you do intend to live in the new property as your primary and it has to make sense in order to do so.
