I wish there was a way to make it easier to search all of them.I would love to be able to find a place where all the available notes in a zip code were listed.

However, other states may require that you file with a different office such as the State Corporation Commission, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, or the Division of Corporations & Commercial Code.

People like this (the kind that abuse someone else's valuables) have an interesting way of excusing their behavior and twisting reality to serve their  screwed up moral code.      

I walk every. single. house. that I offer on. 1- it gets me in the field where the guys behind the laptop won't make it which gives me access to deals that will never show up in a spread sheet or e-mail chain.

I would bet this is section 8 housing.That being said, this zip code is appreciating quickly.Next to our house (which is about 1/2 mile down the street from the property you are considering )is a 2 unit brand new condo that sold for $350k per unit in Seprtember.  

If you plan to rent the property you may want to get to know your city housing codes and requirements.

I am just starting some research on the area and wondered if anybody could give me advice on what areas and Zip codes to avoid and which offer the best fundamentals.

I am very far away from apartment developments, heck I am struggling with the possiblity of building a fourplex and the changes from standard residential construction needed (IRC vs IBC codes), but curious.
