The #1 determinant of what you can buy is how much money you have...by the time you save enough cash to buy a crap SFR in San Diego your 10-unit in Central Ohio you paid the same price for would have stabilized... rents would have increased...your debt would be paid down...and the equity could serve as your way into your next 10-unit...would you rather have a ****** bungalow 5 miles from the beach or retirement income?
