Originally posted by @David Doyle:GeorgeConcerning your vent problem ,,,I do not like Studor vents,,,,I like traditional old fashioned vents that go from the fixture to the roof,,,no matter what it takes to route them up and out thru the roof.I strongly suggest you go to a local plumbing supply house that sell to the trade only and get a reccomendation on a local father and son team with many years experience, that pays their supply house bills on time and have a great reputation. You need a thorough diagnosis of this problemGet a quote and pay these folks and let them work their magicIts hard for me to diagnose your problem with out photos or drawingsIn this case as I suggest find competant local helpBestDD i took the studor vent off and verified it's working (by blowing and sucking air with it). the disposal works too., what tipped me off was the amount of water that drained back into the bucket from the wall. i knew there was a clog somewhere.sure enough, about 12 ft down the line from the sink, there was a Fernco connection of new PVC to cast iron so i undid that. water started to pour out of that joint. ran a snake down and it cleared it. 7 days ago i had to cement a shower hole  and i plugged the hole with paper towel, then i put cement on top of it. i wonder if the paper towel fell in the line and that's what caused the clog. i am glad i experienced it before tenants or inspector noticed it.

For instance, you or your love ones get diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, become disabled and need 24hr care, get in a car wreck and get sued, the bank closes your lines of credit (yeah I already said this but this really made me mad with a 780 credit score), the market crashes, you get divorced, a riot or hurricane or earth quake or flood wipes out or damages most your properties, and the list goes on and on.

It's our responsibility, to have the problem repaired in a reasonable time. 7 days is a little long so that definitely needs to be tightened up but for a person living in a home even if they own it and the AC breakdown will have to stay with a friend or family member and wait for a tech to diagnose, then repair.
