As a society the public tends to make excuses about why their lives are not where they want it to be instead of putting the hard and smart work in.Show me someone with a bunch of excuses about why their life is the way it is and I can show you someone who has had just as hard a life or harder but still became a success.

Due to unexpected circumstances, I’ve had to come out of pocket probably close to about 50K or more since the inception of the project, and he’s made excuse after excuse as to why he has not been able to.

It is not an excuse to be reckless, but managed and controlled.  

That's probably your safest bet, because the seller may find some excuse to back out at the last minute.  

I personally feel the rate of inflation is understated purposely to give the fed an excuse to keep rates low.
