I tend to consider the value rather than the equity because if you(r business entity) lose(s) the property(-ies) in litigation you(r business entity) could still be held liable for the deficiency by the lender, much the same as in a short-sale.You don't want too much value in any one LLC lest you lose too big a chunk should litigation arise and succeed.Two $100K houses in one LLC would be about that same as one $200K house, for example.
